Belarmino&Partners is an international arts consultancy, founded by curator and creative producer, Vanini Belarmino in Berlin, Germany in March 2008. It seeks to cultivate exchanges and push artists to work beyond their comfort zone.
To expand its operations, Belarmino&Partners Singapore was set-up in April 2011, while maintaining its research base for cooperation projects in Europe in the German capital.
Vanini Belarmino is an independent curator, producer and writer.
She is the Managing Director of Belarmino&Partners, a company set-up in Berlin, Germany in March 2008 to realise cross-border and interdisciplinary collaborations. To pursue her passion in developing grassroots cultural initiatives between Asia and Europe, she launched ZENSORS in Germany (2008) and Philippines (2009).
In 2007, she joined Walkscreen in leading the EU-art-peace project Challenging Walls in Israel and Palestine. While working for the Asia-Europe Foundation (2003-2007), she was responsible for the establishment of its performing art programmes: I’mPULSE (music) and Pointe to Point (dance) as well as the management of ASEMUS (Asia-Europe Museum Network).
Vanini has worked for institutions like the Cultural Center of the Philippines (1992-1997), Ballet Philippines (1995-1997), Department of Education, Culture and Sports (1997-1998), and the European Cultural Foundation (2003). Vanini has spearheaded projects in countries like Austria, Cambodia, China, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Palestine, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Sweden, United Kingdom and Vietnam.
She also works as a cultural correspondent for various publications and online platforms like the Korean Arts Management Services’ the Apro , Culture 360 and Hub City for Asian Culture’s project, Culture Asia and Runthru Dance Magazine.
Vanini is a grant recipient of the Asian Cultural Council (2009 & 2014), Japan Foundation (2008 and 2009) and a fellow of International Society for the Performing Arts (2009, 2012). She received academic training in theatre arts, art history, European cultural policy and management.
She served as the General Manager for the inaugural Singapore International Jazz Festival 2014, as well as Dance MNL The Philippine Dance Biennial 2016.
Vanini is currently the Assistant Director (Programmes) at the National Gallery Singapore.
